Exporting metatrader statement.htm to EXCEL – dot, comma problem and date format problem

Whenever I trade through Metatrader platform I want to export all trades I have traded. Export is very easy with “Save report option” and it gives me option to do my own statistical analysis. One of my broker is FXOPEN and I remember I have had  few problems with exporting my statements. The problem was, that statement were exported in the wrong format (date format). So all the price levels like SL, TP, entry a close were totally wrong. To copy the statement you usually select the table in your browser window (since the statement is in html) and COPY it. Then you got EXCEL and press right->PASTE SPECIAL-> and choose UNICODE TEXT. Well normally it would copy it right but this time there was some nonsense format on all PRICES. Well it can be resolved if you enter directly the statement.htm with EXCEL. So right click->open with->EXCEL and voalaaa. The format is correct, prices are correct and then you can copy-paste it to your list of all trades.

Another problem I have experienced long time ago was the problem with comma and dot in the price of the statement. My EXCEL doesnt take dot prices and cant accept them as a number. Easy fix is this. You select all your prices with dot you want to transform, click on “Text to columns” and … follow the instructions in the image gallery to this article. I am lazy to write about it so I have screenshotted :))
