Industrial Revolution 2.0
There’s now talk of the Fed targeting unemployment. How ’bout this. As part of the next quantitative easing, the Fed creates a $1,000 checking deposit for every citizen who agrees to write ten letters to friends, especially in rural parts of the country. This stimulates demand for postal services and thus eliminates, for a time, the need for mass layoffs at the USPS.
That's what I call stimulus :). Unfortunately and sadly that's the truth and as the industrial revolution and machinery overtook jobs of many people we are heading slowly towards the Industrial Revolution 2.0 without having the masses educated and prepared for this type of world. Times are changing and our leaders are lacking the skill to adapt quickly. Welcome in a world where one SKILL/JOB is simply not enough.
