GS and proprietary trading

It should not come as a surprise to anyone who studied the market that the market price is moved by houses who are betting on so called informed trades. If they know your book and know the information ahead of you, it is much easier to make a big bucks. It is easier, but not easy! Investment banks like GS should be renamed from "investment bank" to "front-runing proprietary trading house" since the investment banking is only a 15% portion of their overall income.
