Price projections
I have read recent article from NBT about price targets/projections. First of all I have to say that I have found value in authors articles. I believe that this blog is one of the few with true value. The main problem is in my opinion complexity of this recent article in which author tries to explain price projections. I think that all can be summed up in few bullet points:
- more taps on the diagonal trendlines (or S/R) makes the trendline stronger
- to measure target price after the trendline is broken strongly, take the distance between furthest extreme and a point of a trendline break and project it further from the break point
I guess that the information you take from this article is based on your market experience. For me the most valuable part was this:
Again, look for the line that gets the backward retest or heavy historical hits and use it as your meter. This is one thing that I wish I knew in my early days of using this.
Although I believe that articles can be written in a more simplistic manner, I respect the author for the value he brings with his blog posts.
