Systém vs. cíl

A system is something you do on a regular basis that increases your odds of happiness in the long run. If you do something every day, it’s a system. If you’re waiting to achieve it someday in the future, it’s a goal.

Yale economist Robert Shiller once noted the absurdity of companies racing to meet one-year earnings targets. “I don’t know why people keep using one year earnings,” he said. “That is the time it takes the Earth to go around the sun. I don’t see any other significance.” It’s insane to think that a household, business, or government budget is most efficient when squeezed into the time it takes for the Earth to go around the sun. But it’s how most budgets are done.

Systém vs cíl? Shrnuto podtrženo, cíle s jasným datem Vám můžou způsobit vředy, bolesti břicha a nejednu bezesnou noc. Systém se naopak tak nějak stará o to, abyste se z těch všech “túdú listů” a deadlinů prostě neposrali. Na jednu stranu s tím souhlasím. Můj trading mission statement zní:

Doing one good trade over and over again, while being in the moment, risking less and making the most while having fun

V překladu chci konzistentní růst equity, kterou mi generuje menší riziko v poměru k velikosti návratnosti, zatímco se u toho dobře bavím. Na druhou stranu “túdúčka” mě obklopují a trading strategii nebo třeba nákupní seznam si bez něj nedokážu představit. A právě proto potřebujeme nějakou tu vyšší myšlenku, statement, big picture … prostě systééém, který nám umožní držet se linky, ale nepodělat se z ostřejších zatáček.
