Strong virtues every man should cultivate

This is a list of things that I believe every man should cultivate. Even trying counts!

• Gets physical
• Gets grounded (metal, stone, wood)
• Moves
• Cultivates stillness
• Is capable to clearly articulating what he thinks/he needs/he wants (is able to reason his opinion)
• Changes his opinion based on new data (retrospective)
• Understands what is outside and inside of his control
• Is guided by reason and critical thinking in decision making
• Is capable of having thoughtful disagreement
• Has philosophy of life (or actively works on one)
• Says clearly what he needs
• Listens
• Plans
• Understands that prep trumps execution (look before you leap)
• Executes
• Has routines that build character
• Uses fire and moon approach
• Does hard things smart way > (over) Doing hard things stupid way (builds resilience)
• Respects himself
• Respects others
• Builds intuition (void/inner compass/inner citadel)
• Spends time in silence
• Cultivates and highly values strong friendship
• Builds his craft (values meaningful work)
• Understands that communication is key to successful collaboration and problem solving
• Understands the power of the group over power of individual

• Works on what is Essential, get rids of everything else (less, but better approach)
